Janome Memory Craft 550E is Janome’s largest stand-alone embroidery machine and the perfect companion to your sewing machine. With a largest hoop size of 7.9″ x 14.2″ , the 550E provides lots of embroidery space. Magnetic clips increase the stability and embroidery quality while using these large hoops. The built-in library contains 180 designs, including classic designs, floral alphabets, in-the-hoop monsters and Sashiko designs. With 6 fonts also included, and advanced font editing capability, the design possibilities are endless! Also builtin into this machine are traditional monograms in 2 or 3 letter configuration with different flourish and designs to enhance your projects. Many of the advanced editing functions include sizing, rotation, color editing as well as mirroring. Also, a very popular feature is the automatic jump stitch removal and auto needle threader built-in to the MC550e.

One of the key differences in Janome’s engineering is the use of ball bearing tracks instead of belts that are typically used by other manufacturers. This results in a much finer resolution and detail in its embroidery output. This technology comes straight from Janome’s expertise in the manufacturing of robotics used in industry. Many of the Janome qualities come from this industry and it shows in quality that is a step above other machines. The MC550E comes with an extra wide extension table, four embroidery hoops, the already mentioned RE36b hoop, SQ20b 7.9″ x 7.9″, RE20b 5.5″ x 7.9″ and SQ14b 5.5″ x 5.5″.
